Yeah, sorry, seems like my quick look was too quick :-)

Other than that, I have no clue what's going wrong for you. Maybe you should
add a check to memp_free that an item is not already freed (or freed twice). I
would add that to CVS, too, but I it might take some days until I find the
time to do so.
