Follow-up Comment #6, bug #19157 (project lwip):
This does not look like a good solution to me. What I don't like is that the
stack keeps the application waiting without doing anything and the time it
needs depends on the peer. I don't think any other OS lets you wait when
closing a socket...
I did not investigate the problem myself, but can't we look into what other
OSes / stacks do when faced with this problem?
