Hi Claudio,
ALSA works fine for playback, record, and mixing. So use it regardless of
what the documentation says! :) Be sure to create your alsa device nodes
in /dev/snd if using static device nodes.
Hi Stuart,
BTW: this BSP platform builds the kernel every time and asks for
configuration, I'm not sure if this is desirable? If the maintainer for
that platform is reading, please consider changing this.
This is an undesirable side effect from too much development work. I'll
remove this - thanks!

Subject: Re: [Ltib] Alsaconfig ptoblem with Ubuntu
Thanks stuart.
I will check this, but is that the manual at NXP was saying not to use
ALSA
anyway, thank you for help.

Claudio Borges.

Hi Claudio,
I've checked in a change to alsa-utils.spec that fixes this by adding
--disable-nls to configure.

Hi Claudio,
I forgot to ask, what platform are you building for?
I just tried a build on imx27 and it was okay (DreamLinux-3.5 (Debian
Lenny) single core machine). It looks to me like a it may be a
parallel make issue (needing -j1 in the make line).

Hi Stuart,
Believe I'm using the latest version of LTIB, because I got the
version from CVS yesterday (19/02).
