As part of setting this up, I had to install a new version of the
kernel, linux, as the existing version didn't have the tun.ko module
needed by openvpn for the distcc setup documented at
http://www.debian-administration.org/articles/157 .
I installed the linux-image from:
http://www.anheng.com.cn/loongson2f/squeeze/kernel/linux-image-2.6.27.19-fulong2f_20090308_mipsel.deb
via dpkg -i, and then moved /boot/vmlinux to /boot/vmlinux.orig and
hard-linked the new linux to be vmlinux.
For some reason build1, build3 and build4 came back correctly after a
restart running the new linux, but build2 (192.168.29.2) did not come
back - can someone take a look at it?
The build2 is a machine based on loongson2E (aka Godson2E). After reverting to vmlinux.orig, build2 is online now.
Note:
1) The vmlinux you installed on build2 is now renamed to "vmlinux.new"
2) You can distinguish loongson2E from loongson2F from /proc/cpuinfo:
loongson2E: Godson2 V0.2 FPU V0.1
loongson2F: Loongson-2 V0.3 FPU V0.1
