 Let me check if I interpret this correctly: we will do the strict minimum
required in order to build lmi using wxGTK under Linux and update
README.auto with the working instructions explaining how to do it.

 Should we provide a simple install_linux.sh script just doing all the
steps from the README in order or would even this be superfluous at the
current stage?
