Are you hoping that Debian will enable it for gcc-8.x, or only for
version 9? It sounds like gcc trunk has an msw-api implementation
that compiles but doesn't pass all tests yet; but this comment:
https://gcc.gnu.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=78870#c23
seems to say that this msw code won't be backported to version 8.
