I downloaded their binary installer. It says it downloaded
i686-4.9.1-release-posix-sjlj-rt_v3-rev3.7z
(does it matter whether I choose "posix" or "win32" threads?)
and, when I plug that into google, it appears that this is the source:
http://downloads.sourceforge.net/project/mingw-w64/Toolchains%20targetting%20Win32/Personal%20Builds/\
mingw-builds/4.9.1/threads-posix/sjlj/i686-4.9.1-release-posix-sjlj-rt_v3-rev3.7z
(I saw this hopeful link on a trusty site:
https://qa.debian.org/watch/sf.php/mingw-w64/i686-4.9.1-release-posix-sjlj-rt_v3-rev3.7z
but it refers back to sf.net .)
We want a fully scripted process, so I'll try downloading that '.7z' file
and extracting it directly.
