[lmi] [PATCH] Don't overwrite user file history with the files opened during testing.

 Here is the first in the long-promised series of the "test cleanup"
patches. It will take me slightly longer to implement the rest as I'll have
to redo it simply, instead of using more complicated (and hence yet
unfinished) solution with using a mocked up version of configurable
settings, so I'm submitting this one on its own, as it's ready since quite
some time and is completely independent of the rest.

 As usual, please let me know if you have any questions about this patch
but, hopefully, the commit message and the comments in it should be
relatively self-explanatory.
