While testing revision 5334, I encountered an alert that I
did not expect.
Consider:
File | New | Census
Census | Add cell
Census | Edit cell | change the Individual payment | OK
File | Save
Directly click on one cell's Payment with the intention to edit.
While the field's in edit mode and the [...] visible, close the
census [X].
The following message is observed:
---------------------------
wxWidgets Debug Alert
---------------------------
../src/common/wincmn.cpp(468): assert "GetEventHandler() == this" failed
in ~wxWindowBase(): any pushed event handlers must have been removed
Do you want to stop the program?
You can also choose [Cancel] to suppress further warnings.
---------------------------
Yes No Cancel
---------------------------
Click Yes, receive the following:
---------------------------
lmi: lmi_wx_shared.exe - Application Error
---------------------------
The exception Breakpoint A breakpoint has been reached. (0x80000003)
occurred in the application at location 0x7c90120e.
Click on OK to terminate the program
Click on CANCEL to debug the program
---------------------------
OK Cancel
---------------------------
This may not be behavior users would execute often. However,
it is one way to cancel any changes and start over.
The alert was not observed following the steps with a new
"unsaved" census; in this case, the usual message appeared
when closing the census:
---------------------------
lmi...
---------------------------
Do you want to save changes to unnamed1?
---------------------------
Yes No Cancel
---------------------------
