It's okay for us to wait for wx-2.8.9 . The improvements it will
bring are important but not urgent for us.
Perhaps you could let us know when the wx-2.8.9 release candidate
is being tested by the wx community. Then we could experimentally
build lmi with it and report any issues before the final release.
