[lmi] New branch-20070402T1012Z-product-editor branch

Hello!
Today I have created a new 'branch-20070402T1012Z-product-editor'.
Every (not-yet-merged-to-HEAD) patch from the previous
'branch-20070316T1045Z-product-editor' was moved (and updated) into
the new branch. I have tried to make all the patches as small as
possible (splitting the bigger ones into pieces), and slightly
rearranged the changes order.

Greg, I will email you the updated patches shortly after in a private
email, as you have asked me previously.
