You are correct, they are the same issues. The above
report is specific to the composite output that is printed
when you do:
File | New | Census
Ctrl-Shift-E
Sample product
Payments tab- 10000 2; 0
Ctrl-Shift-R
File | Print preview
The problem is the trailing zeros that appear after all other
large numbers stop printing.

In generic insurance terms, it is the point in time when there is
not enough account value to deduct the monthly charges; if the
deduction causes the account value to become negative, it should
be considered a lapse on the illustration output. I think that's
what you're calling "zero-rows" in the 'Tabular detail' and 'Numeric
summary'.

The trailing zeros should not exist in the pdf output; they should
terminate the same way the calculation summary handles them.

Lapse will occur at exactly the same point in time (row) across any
table.

I don't think that situation could occur. Once the policy lapses,
no more calculations are performed.
