Course Description:
This two-day course begins with the key tools and techniques
for planning, organizing, leading and controlling. The empowerment
process consists of setting objectives, preparing budgets, managing time,
documenting procedures, establishing measures, delegating, evaluating
performance, approaches to problem-solving and continuous improvements,
coaching, motivating and leading subordinates. With these critical
supervisory tools and techniques in place, participants become more effective
and goal-oriented managers and leaders.

Resource Person:
Mr. Pedro J. Duran
specializes in Management Systems and Skills Development, TQM and
Productivity. He worked with San Miguel Corporation for more than 20
years, holding various positions in Corporate Head Office, Magnolia Divisions
and retired as VP for IT and Quality in the San Miguel Brewing
Group. In San Miguel, he managed Quality, IT, Industrial
Engineering, Systems, Work Management, Quality Assurance, and Engineering. He
also had some 10 years experience in working with Victoria's
Milling Company, then the biggest integrated raw and refined sugar manufacturer
in Asia, where he managed IT, Public
Relations, Community Development and Schools Partnership.
After San Miguel, he was manager of Customer Relationship Management in CIS, an
IT subsidiary of Meralco; and a Quality Manager of Fidelity Information
Services, a US-based provider of IT banking solutions in the Asia
Pacific.
