--- Begin Message --- Subject: how to set watchpoints before memory allocated Date: Wed, 04 Jul 2007 03:11:40 -0000 User-agent: G2/1.0
in my gdb (version 6.1), the watch point has to be after the memory
allocated, or the error message

Cannot access memory at address 0x557e54f8

will prevent me to continue. Is there any way for work-around? I know
dbx from SUN can watch any arbitrary memory address before the program
run.

thanks,
-yichun.
