ERMX Jumps Into Huge Advanced Nitride Super Conductors!

EntreMetrix Inc. (ERMX)
$0.16

ERMX has just announced it involvement in a joint venture to manufacture
Advanced Nitride Devices. These have Military application as well as
Energy Super Conductors. This takes ERMX to a whole new level. Google
"Nitride Devices" and get on ERMX first thing Monday!

Information about data is referred to as metadata.
Just exactly what that could be escapes me though. One such recent
announcement is that Novell will be offering services to support MySQL
customers.
This is a particularly incorrect standard. Although the idea behind the
standard is understandable, the implementation and wording is typically
all wrong. Sometimes, the mistakes are simple to correct - and that is
the case with this week's "bad standard. Or something else entirely? And
this means better capture, storage, and management of metadata.
The key is for DBAs to keep an open mind and to be reasonable.

If you were going to standardize on one database for your organization
to reduce support costs, would you standardize on one that provides a
low level of features and functionality or a high level?
Have you ever watched the Antiques Roadshow program on television?

The relationships may represent information, yet the relations do not
actually constitute information until they are understood. When DBA is
practiced as a management discipline every database application will
have an SLA attached to it. It is undeniable that data growth is out of
control.

I do recommend that professional DBAs take the time to study and pass
the certification exams.
