[Linphone-users] Are file transfers encrypted?

Are file transfers initiated from chat encrypted end to end when the sender and recipient are both using desktop Linphone, and both are connected to sip.linphone.org, while not using an external means of encryption like VPN?

Does the the transmitted file exist on the linphone.org server at any time in cleartext (human readable, not encrypted)?
