Hello.
Actually, group chat is only supported on mobile version of Linphone.
Indeed this feature would be great for Linphone-desktop (and I
really would like to see this happen).
We are considering implementing it, but we are currently searching for a funding.
That's where you can help us, do not hesitate to spread the word.
If you want to participate, you can buy us a development request by reaching us out with our contact form

Hi, One thing missing from the desktop version of Linphone seems to be the ability to send a IM message to more than one recipient. I've used it for more than a year, but have never seen a way to do it. Is this not a supported feature? -----Original Message----- From: Linphone-users <linphone-users-bounces+joelblack=diamondvoice.com@nongnu.org> On Behalf Of linphone-users-request@nongnu.org Sent: Thursday, January 21, 2021 2:06 PM To: linphone-users@nongnu.org Subject: Linphone-users Digest, Vol 218, Issue 17 Send Linphone-users mailing list submissions to linphone-users@nongnu.org To subscribe or unsubscribe via the World Wide Web, visit https://lists.nongnu.org/mailman/listinfo/linphone-users or, via email, send a message with subject or body 'help' to linphone-users-request@nongnu.org You can reach the person managing the list at linphone-users-owner@nongnu.org When replying, please edit your Subject line so it is more specific than "Re: Contents of Linphone-users digest..." If the I-frame requires 700 ms to be transmitted, then it is totally expected that the rendered video freezes during 700 ms when it is about to display the I-frame. You may modify the jitter buffer settings (from configuration file) to create more latency and then masq the I-frame delay: [rtp] video_jitt_comp = 700 ms Regards, Peio Rigaux Junior Software Engineer Belledonne Communications, the company behind Linphone Linphone.org <https://linphone.org/> Le 30/09/2020 à 17:53, Jerry Jongerius a écrit :I have a video producer behind a slow’ish uplink, which results in the I-Frame being transmitted over 700ms+ (GOP is 2s). The front end is an Android device running Linphone. What I see is the video ‘freezing’ for a very brief period of time every 2s (which matches the GOP time frame). If the video producer is moved to a faster link (so I-Frame is sent faster, say 500ms), the ‘freezes’ go away. If the video producer is moved to an even slower link (so I-Frame is sent over 1500ms), the ‘freezes’ remain the same. Packet captures show the android device is receiving all packets (so assuming Linphone is receiving all frames). Why is video ‘freezing’ (very briefly) every 2s, and are there any settings to tweak to fix this? _______________________________________________ Linphone-users mailing list Linphone-users@nongnu.org https://lists.nongnu.org/mailman/listinfo/linphone-users-------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
