Hello.
Please verify that the execution rights were properly set for your user (in terminal : ls -l [appimage path]).
I have set execution rights in terminal with chmod +x [path to appimage] and I see no problem.
I have also tested by enabling exec right in UI like you did, and
I see no issue.

Good morning,
I have downloaded the Linphone 4.2 appimage this morning and am unable to open it after checking the box "Allow executing file as a program".
My Linux Mint version is 18.3.
Why doesn't it work?
I need your help to solve this issue.
