Besides the audio problem I'm having (see my earlier message), i have 
Linphone 3.6.1 running on Linux Mint. I couldn't get it to run at all on 
port 5060 but moved it to 5061. When i did this it complained that it 
the port was being used (or something like that), however I quit and 
restart the app and after this it does work on port 5061. Check also 
that you don't have a zombie process running, this also caused the same 
error.
