Great, thanks Simon. I completely overlooked this as it was in your linphone-web-ui example project.

I assumed the call parameter was required by the web plugin without giving it too much thought.

Thanks for solving the mystery, I knew it had to be something simple.

Regards,

Tony

Hi Tony,

The documentation https://www.linphone.org/docs/linphone-web/external-LinphoneCore.html says that LinphoneCore.sendDtmf() takes a single argument which is the dtmf to play, as a string.

There is no call argument as your email suggests.

Can you please check your code ?

Regards,

Simon

Just to add to this... I’ve tested with an asterisk extension as well and I get the same issue.

Has anyone ever had DTMF working with this plugin? Or know where I can at least find any logs for the plugin that might indicate where in the code it is failing?

Thanks,

Tony

Subject: DTMF not working - linphone web plugin

Hi guys,

I’ve downloaded the linphone-web-ui project and trialling it out but I cannot get DTMF to work with freeswitch (set up to accept RFC2833 which I understand is the linphone-web-plugin default?

When I attempt to send DTMF I just get the following in the console:

“Error: Error calling method on NPObject!” – this is generated from the call to “core.sendDtmf(call, digit)”

I have tried in both Firefox and IE with the same result. Has anyone come across this issue or know what the potential cause could be or how I could diagnose it further?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Kind regards,

Tony Gardner
