Hello,

1) & 2) 2.3 is application version, while 3.8.5 is liblinphone (Linphone 
library) version; you can see both versions in Settings -> About:

- Linphone iPhone 2.3
- Linphone Core 3.8.5

3) A new release will be available in a few days fixing this bug among others.
