As root, type:

lsof -i -n -P | grep 5060

to see what application is using port 5060. If there is some other program using it, then linphone cannot also use it.

Modify the .linphonerc file to change

[sip]
#SIP port used
sip_port=5060

Then verify using command line from terminal

linphonec -a -C -c /full path/.linphonerc

Hello Linphone members, no matter what I've tried, I even edited the
.linphonerc in my «invisible» home section, nothing worked, the pop up
window «Could not start tls transport on port 5060, maybe this port is
already used.» keeps coming back everytime I open Linphone. I used Linux
Mint 17.1 «Rebecca» Cinnamon desktop 64 bit. Anybody know how to solve
this problem?

Thank you in advance for the help,
Hermes
