Our Linphone PPA does not always provide backports. (They are difficult.) For 3.6.1 on 'raring' I already had to package versions of 'srtp' and 'zrtpcpp' which are unavailable on the most up-to-date Ubuntu systems.

Linphone version 3.6.1 is now available in our Launchpad PPA.  There you will also find plugins for X.264, AMR and Belledonne's G.729.
