Hi there,

I am using the Linphone Android App with a
Logitech USB Webcam, which is capable of natively
providing a H264 encoded video stream
(camera does the encoding itself).

Is Linphone capable of using the preencoded
stream for video conferencing ?

Would speed things up a lot, since it is
a 1080p HD camera and, well, the embedded device
Linphone is running on, is not exactly fast
(in encoding).

I read H264 in the Codec list, but it says
something like "only with FPU present" or similar,
probably meaning that the encoding is then done by
Linphone, not the camera.
Is there any way of changing this to
 * check if camera provides H264 stream natively
 * if no, offer encoding
 * if yes, pass through the pre-encoded stream
?

Best,
Matthias
