Check your calling settings in android settings, you should be able to just dial in dialer then when you press call that dialed number you get an option to select how you want the call to be handled either sip/voip or mobile operator.

Doesn't work here: if I call a number using android dialer it's passed through mobile operator, if I call from linphone dialer it is going through SIP operator. No one ask me to choose operator. HTC Hero running Android 2.2 linphone 1.2.2
