Hi Matthew,

Thanks for the reporting this issue with much care and details.
I supposed you are using the service with UDP, not TCP ?

We suspect that during the 4.3.1 the background mode for UDP sockets was
turned off by Apple. Perhaps because it is not that useful. The
consequence *would* be that the SIP socket is broken when the
application is resumed. We are not sure of that however.

I suggest that you disable background operation (in the settings), since
you are apparently not using linphone for incoming calls. In this mode,
the SIP socket is created when linphone shows up, and destroyed when you
press the iPhone button to dismiss the application.

Also, a Linphone upgrade is still pending for review by Apple since a
tenth of days, we hope this version will work better, or at least will
enable easier debugging.

Come back to us if you are still experiencing this issue with the new
version.
