[Linphone-users] cannot find -lavcodec

When trying to compile linphone-3.1.2 on a openSUSE 11.1 system, I get
a compilation error:

cannot find -lavcodec
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make[5]: *** [] Error 1
make[5]: Leaving directory `/usr/local/src/linphone-3.1.2/mediastreamer2/src'
make[4]: *** [all] Error 2
make[4]: Leaving directory `/usr/local/src/linphone-3.1.2/mediastreamer2/src'
make[3]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
make[3]: Leaving directory `/usr/local/src/linphone-3.1.2/mediastreamer2'
make[2]: *** [all] Error 2
make[2]: Leaving directory `/usr/local/src/linphone-3.1.2/mediastreamer2'
make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/local/src/linphone-3.1.2'
make: *** [all] Error 2

The configure run had only one argument: --prefix=/usr.

I *do* have libavcodec installed:

address@hidden:/usr/local/src/linphone-3.1.2> locate libavcodec

What can I do in this situation?

Kind regards,
