Greetings:
Recently 'Mare Crisium' reported building linphone on OpenBSD
but did not mention any details (OpenBSD version and release,
OSS sound driver source, etc.); I _must_ get linphone to
build and work on OpenBSD 3.9 and would appreciate all
assistance.
The first issue is 'configure'; it fails on search for
includes for osip (osip.h) but the include paths are correct
and the log shows some other odd behavior at that point
in the script which I have not yet been able to diagnose.
The current release of osip and exosip have been built and
installed on the target. I will insert some more debugging
code into 'configure' to attempt to save the generated C
code and compiler error messages.
The second issue is sound support; the OSS package from
http://www.opensound.com/oss.html is released against
OpenBSD 3.8 and also requires disabling all native sound
support in the kernel; it may not work on 3.9 and it may
not work on USB sound devices. Adding native OpenBSD
sound support to linphone would be ideal; there is _no_
SIP UA for OpenBSD (except running asterisk as a console
audio application which is a poor choice for a UA).
I can provide accounts on target hosts for building and
testing if it would help.
