Hm, does the network work at all after these commands?
I've no idea about the default iptables policies on a SuSE...

Ok, now there should not be any firewall on the machines themselves.
Just to verify, please to as root: (and send the output)
iptables -L INPUT -n
iptables -L OUTPUT -n

What IP does the dsl-router have on your lan?

Hopefully someone else can help you with this, but maybe you have to
compile it yourself. I can't really help you locating a rpm as I'm using
debian (or compile programs from source).

The interesting output would be the following commands on both machines.

/sbin/route -n
(maybe even:)
/sbin/ifconfig

On 192.168.1.3:
ping -c 1 192.168.1.5
on 192.168.1.5:
ping -c 1 192.168.1.3

Not sure, but this looks like you have another problem with your sound
setup in linphone. Can you test the ringing sound and do you hear it?
Ok, found it, yes, you seem to be able to hear the ringing sound on both
machines.

Have you tried to verify the local setup using sipomatic on
localhost?

What computer is this? Why are you trying to reach a computer at hp.com?
Also this is the first time I see this IP-address in you mails?

Looks OK to me.
