Hum, maybe the g_file_test() function, defined in uglib/uglib.c does not 
work well. I'll have a look at this.
However linphonec is able to work without any config file now. The only 
problem will be that you will not be able to choose the codecs and your 
username (will be $USER shell variable by default).
