Hi All,


We are using Linphone Android app for our VOIP base app. I am facing problem while I put call on hold. 


I did testing making all test cases with android linphone app available on google pay store.


Two Android Phone Linphone App on sip-xyz.com VOIP server with two test a/c : 

my findings are:

  1. Outbound call put on hold, crash the Linphone app and other side phone don’t goes on hold also hang up after 30 secs.
  2. Inbound call put on hold, put call on hold but on screen it shows no active call and UI does not detect action for resuming the call as it stay inactive and on other side phone call goes on hold also after 30 sec call hangup.
  3. When I used two test a/c on Linphone server(sip.linphone.org) everything works fine for hold and resume call for outbound and inbound calls.
  4. when I use my sip-xyz.com VOIP server and same test ids on Xlite/Zoiper soft phone everything works fine. 
  5. As we tried to captured packets on network level, we found that as we request for hold from Linphone app we dint receive RTCP packet for hold request also after that we stop receiving RTP packets from that device but other side device keep sending RTP packets and after few seconds that connection breaks.
  6. In case of XLite we receive RTCP packets for hold request and RTP packets keeps continue at both ends so hold and resume all works fine
As we identified this is a bug in linphone android app. Can anyone please help us to fix this issue.
