And yes, the chat messages do support push notifications. If I send a chat message to my sip.linphone.org SIP account it shows up immediately on all devices that I'm logged on with.

Not sure about actual SMS messages, but I do use it to send chat messages (via Linphone Python API) and it works great for that. 

So, while IDK if it's true push notifications, it does work very well (so is practically the same thing, whatever tech is behind it).

I downloaded the latest iOS linphone app. Got everything setup and tested working. Then I kill off the app follows by making calls and sms to it. I thought it suppose to receive push notification of them but none came in.
