Hi Frank,
I think i have found the reason! I DID NOT check such settings:
- Settings/Network: 'Enable ICE'; 
- Settings/Video: 'Initiate video calls' and 'Accept incoming video request';

NOTE: ICE enables the two peers behind a NAT to communicate.

Sorry, I am not an expert at Wireshark.

As for my problem, I do not think it is caused by Asterisk. Becuause i can do video talk between the downloaded Linphones on mac and android, with the same Asterisk server. You mentioned the Linphone tracing on the Android devices, where are they? I will find and send it to you.

It may need the tracing logs for analysing. Do you have:

 

1. WireShark tracing on Asterisk server, including signaling and media RTP for the video call;

2. Linphone tracings on HTC and SumSang if have.

 

By the way, both sides have the same video codec setting? As I know, Asterisk doesn't provide video transcoding by default.

HI buddies,
I succeed in building linphone-android. Commit Info:

I install this newly built app on my sumsang tablet and make a video call with another linphone on a HTC smartphone, via a asterisk server in public network. NOTE: the HTC phone has a linphone downloaded from the website (version: 2.0.2). But the video talk fails:
- Both side can not see the video from remote side;
- The HTC can hear the voice from samaung, which has my built linphone app installed; But the samsung cannot!
- after about 20-30 seconds, the connection is lost!

Can someone help me about this problem? Thanks in advance!
