Yes that sounds interesting, although I am looking for a very lightweight solution that doesn't have to guarantee transmission.

We have a real-time text addition to Linphone, implementing RFC 4103 in a text RTP session.
Rapid first transmission.
redundant transmissions follow at 300 ms intervals to assure robustness.

Would that be suitable?
