Hi Eric,
From my understanding, what you are trying to achieve is simply impossible on IOS. Only an incoming message on a tcp client socket configured in voip mode can wake up the app.
Cheers Jehan
Jehan,
I was able to get that working. The only thing now that is not working as apposed to android. Is when the device is locked or backgrounded. On android it will ring through if locked to backgrounded. On ios
it will not. I was looking at the background settings and it seems as if ios only allows one udp socket in the background. Also I was thinking it could be the stun packet not being received properly. But nonetheless I haven't gotten a local call to work with
ios in the background.

Hi Eric,
I tested myself and it worked out of the box when Linphone for IOS is in foreground.
My config was tcp port 5060, no proxy config entered.
Cheers
Jehan,
I did, I downloaded the App Store version as well and it does not right either. Even with a fixed port number set.

Hi Eric,
Interesting, it should work at least when application is opened and transport are either UDP or TCP.
Did you test with Linphone ?
I am working with the linphone library and all seems to be working well when i do local direct p2p calls when calling android to android, android to pc, pc to android, iPhone to android, iPhone to pc, but anytime anyone calls to the iPhone it never rings, even
with the application open. Does anyone have any thoughts on the cause.
A few other details, We are not using a sip server at all, it is not set up in the account screen. All devices have different ip’s and all different account names.
Thanks for any help you can provide.
Eric.
