i'm still looking into this. for some strange reason /usr/include/srtp
does not exist even when the lib is installed (based on linphone.org)
sources:

ii  libsrtp0-dev                         1.4.4~dfsg-6

and claims that it has it:

$ dpkg -L libsrtp0-dev | egrep srtp.h
/usr/include/srtp/hmac.h
/usr/include/srtp/srtp.h

still

$ ls -ls /usr/include/srtp/hmac.h
ls: cannot access /usr/include/srtp/hmac.h: No such file or directory
address@hidden:~/downloads$ /usr/include/srtp/srtp.h
bash: /usr/include/srtp/srtp.h: No such file or directory

something must be wrong with libsrtp0-dev that i built from linphone.org
source.

linphone.org srtp/debian/changelog has:

srtp (1.4.4~dfsg-6) unstable; urgency=low

  * Add patch 1008 from Gentoo to hack build routines into compiling
    shared library.
  ...

should the version numbers be upgraded if this source is not the same
the original debian srtp (1.4.4~dfsg-6) source?

debian sid has srtp version 1.4.5. why is that not good for linphone?
has linphone forked libsrtp?
