[Linphone-developers] Registering New SIP account in Ubuntu

Hello,

Whenever I try to register a new SIP address, by going to Preferences+Manage SIP accounts and adding a new SIP address, I never get the window asking for username and password.

Eventually, I get an error, that the Registration on sip.linphone.org has failed : Connection timed out.

Can someone please guide me as to how to setup a new SIP identity for linphone. Also, why does the window for username and password not show up after adding the SIP account. Is there any file or any commands with which I can setup the username and password so that the registration does not fail.

Any guidance will be really appreciated.
