As far as I know, officially iOS only allows background mode for TCP sockets...

Maybe you may find any way to prevent the phone entering in background mode to keep the UDP socket alive, but I'm afraid that: 1) iOS wouldn't like that and eventually your app would be killed or 2) your battery would be drained pretty fast...

LinPhone seems work out via TCP, but UDP does not.

I want to keep udp connection in background, please kindly give me some 

suggestions for this.
