Extracted the provided files, but was unsure about how to use them.
Could you please instruct/guide me to use these files within the linphone 
source code?

Vadim Lebedev contribued a g726 plugin some time ago, that I haven't
merged yet, nor reviewed but that should work.
Find it attached. It is based on G726 implementation found the the
spandsp project. It is LGPL licensed.
