Did you compile with --disable-shared ?
Recently I've seen that linphonec/linphone were sometimes linking against a
libmediastreamer installed in /usr/lib or /usr/local/lib instead of the one
in the sources...
If you are not using --disable-shared, always 'make install' before starting
linphone/linphonec.
