What's the problem in adding file paths in ~/.linphonerc ?
Do you see play and record commands as temporary settings ?
I think it's useful to have default paths, and maybe default
activation (on or off) for them.
I imagine some time you're just busy so you want to append
recording of an incoming call into your default record, or
you want to have a default automatic answer for your call.
For sure command-line overriding is interesting and also
run-time overriding. I might see a problem in automatic
storing to configuration file the current setup (ie: you
want *this* specific call to play a non-default answer w/out
changing the default...)
Other problems ?
