  By the way these methods are not limited to Script, but can be used for most properties of most grobs, as long as you can define a suitable function that classifies the grob according to what you want. 
  
 
  
 For example you could differentiate between crescendo and diminuendo hairpins, or between wiggle and line glissando (suppose you use both zig zag and line glissando for different things and want the line glissando to have more thickness), you could change to style of texts depending on their total length, such stuff.
