Notice that in my example I included spacer rests in the tuplet. This allow room for the bracket.

Right now I'm doing:
\rhythmMark "" {\tuplet 3/2 {b'8}} {b'8}

I get the tuplet number but no bracket.

Any leads you can offer on this would be greatly appreciated.
