Hello All,

I need to create a metric modulation tempo indication
where the quarter note of a septuplet equals an eighth note in the next measure where the new tempo (in parentheses) is 4 = 63.

I'm not sure how to add the bracket for the septuplet quarter note, and also put the new tempo in parentheses.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

Hi Brian,

I don't do a lot of metric modulation these days anymore, but check out this snippet - it was very handy when I was engraving those kinds of pieces...
(especially look at the bottom row of the snippet)

Hope this helps you!
