Never used them for own scores, though, sounds it may be what you're
looking for.
After reading that page it sounds like this may work for now, but one of
my potential collaborators (I'm still trying to convince him to get away
from Sibelius and into LilyPond) is a Windows user who has never used
the command line. Make, therefore, presents an additional hurdle in
getting him on board.
