I strongly disagree.
For a good lead sheet, the chords must be perfectly aligned over the
lyrics. No word processor will let you do this without a lot of tedious and
hard work. In fact, an monospace text editor will do better.
Although good results can be obtained with LilyPond (really!) often it is
easier to use a specialized program, e.g. Chordii.
