You'd need something like an enharmonize-engraver that would need to run
after key changes and would tamper with all music events (including the
key change itself).  Conceivable, but it would be quite more prone to
ugly things happening.  The code that I posted is rather robust in
contrast.  Admittedly, it would likely not help with quoted music.
