site-lisp\lilypond\).
I appended the following to my ~/.emacs:
(autoload 'LilyPond-mode "lilypond-mode")
(setq auto-mode-alist
(cons '("\\.ly$" . LilyPond-mode) auto-mode-alist))
(add-hook 'LilyPond-mode-hook (lambda () (turn-on-font-lock)))
If I open a .ly-file or create a new one, the emacs switches into the
Lilypond mode (witch I can turn off with <Mx LilyPond-mode>.
Hope that helps.
(I can't switch the pdf-viewer to SumatraPDF -- but that's an other
problem.)
