Yes, that's the principle of ottava brackets.
You write the pitches at the octave you hear them but they are printed
(in this case: \ottava #1 "8va") one octave lower with the ottava
bracket above and the text "8va".

I would have said

}
but it does not work.
I hope someone could tell if I forgot something, or if it's a bug or
something else.
