I could not figure out what the version currently at mutopiaproject was
trying to show.  (Guitar harmonic notation confuses me; in bowed strings
we use the diamond head to show where the string is touched, and/or a 
normal head at sounding pitch.)

What you wrote seems a quite reasonable interpretation of the original, 
but the "Octav." indication is not needed (and probably was wrong in the
original).  Touching the open G at the fifth fret divides it into fourths,
producing a tone two octaves above the open-string G.  The \harmonicByFret 
creates a diamond-head (apparently following the convention for guitar) at
sounding pitch so no need for an extra "Octav."

I was going to suggest \tag #'tab \set ..., but David's suggestion seems
much better
  \set Staff.minimumFret = $strg
  \unset Staff.minimumFret
